The SIU Alumni Association's Williamson County Chapter is raising funds to support the Williamson County Chapter Scholarship Fund. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise $2,500 in an effort to support five students - one from each Williamson county school. The long-term goal would be to endow a scholarship of $25,000 that would then award scholarships in perpetuity. Any funds raised beyond the $2,500 from this campaign will go into the endowment.
The Williamson County Chapter Scholarship provides financial aid for deserving, prospective SIU Carbondale students in the Williamson County area, including communities like Marion, Herrin, Carterville, Johnston City, and Crab Orchard. Eligible students receive an annual award, the total of which depends upon the amount raised by local alumni chapter group members.

“With the opportunity given to me by the Saluki Alumni, I will be able to further advance closer towards my goals and aspirations in the business field. I am glad to be a recipient of the Saluki alumni Scholarship and with future success, I would love to potentially join the Saluki Alumni association as a member myself so I can reinvest into others as the alumni have done for me.”
Ivie Morris, Herrin, IL
“Receiving the Williamson County Chapter Scholarship is a great honor; I greatly appreciate the support. I am so thankful for the reward, and am excited to put it to use in furthering my education.”
