Our Crowdfunding Groups
The 2018-2019 SIUC Concrete Canoe Design Team has been working hard to make the fastest, strongest, and lightest canoe possible. Our goal this year is to win the ASCE Mid-Continent Student Conference hosted by the University of Oklahoma and earn a trip to nationals. The canoe, Delyte, is watermelon themed this year. We got the idea and name from the watermelon fest at SIU during the weeks of welcome that was started in 1960 by the then SIU president Delyte W. Morris. The construction of the canoe is almost done and we think it has turned out great!
We need your donation to help with the costs of going to competition. Your generosity will go towards paying for registration, vehicle rentals, gas, and lodging. This is a somewhat expensive year for us as the University of Oklahoma is the farthest school in our conference. Should we make it to nationals, the money raised here will also go towards registration, vehicles, gas, and lodging.
